Keihin Plant

The Keihin Plant started operation in 1916 at Tsurumi, Yokohama, which has been one of the pivotal districts in the Keihin Coastal Industrial Zone. Located at the Yokohama Science Frontier, a newly developed industrial quarter that continues growth as an important R&D site in Yokohama City, the plant produces glass products that deal with technological advances, including flat glass of various kinds for houses and buildings, and glass substrates for LCDs as well as prototypes of newly designed products. It plays a pivotal role in glass production for Asahi Glass.
