Sagami Plant

The Sagami Plant started operation in 1972 as a general manufacturing factory for automotive safety glass intended for vehicle manufacturers in the Kanto District. The Technical Development Division was set up in the plant's compound and has joined forces with the production section.

This cylindrical equipment with a large semispherical door is an autoclave, which layers film between two fabricated plates of glass, moves it into the cylindrical autoclave and applies high pressure for adhesion. The autoclave is 4 m in diameter.
