Since 1957, Asahi Glass has been offering scholarships to outstanding Japanese and foreign exchange students requiring financial assistance through the Asahi Glass Scholarship Foundation, aiming to help develop globally competent human resources.

Origin

The Asahi Glass Scholarship Foundation was established in 1957 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Asahi Glass.

Overview

In offering scholarships to outstanding Japanese and foreign exchange students requiring financial assistance, we seek to promote the development of human resources that will benefit society. Scholarship awardees are under no obligation to repay the funds or to accept employment with Asahi Glass. We currently provide scholarships for graduate students.

Since 1990, the Asahi Glass Scholarship Foundation has been providing scholarship funds to Thai and Indonesian students studying in Japan. The foundation took over this responsibility from the Asahi Glass Thailand Foundation and the Asahi Glass Indonesia Foundation.
