At the AGC headquarters office in Marunouchi, Tokyo, 24 colors of glass, including custom colors, are used on four floors, helping to create the atmosphere of each space.

Question1What are the characteristics of painted glass?

Painted glass is interior glass that has been given a variety of colors by coating and baking a special paint on the back surface of the glass.
While retaining the original texture and transparency of the glass, it is used as an accent in space design with its deep colors.
One of its features is that it can greatly change the atmosphere of a space depending on the color used.
Additionally, the flat and smooth painted glass is easy to clean, making it excellent in terms of maintenance.

While it is still uncommon to use glass for residential walls in Japan, in Europe and other regions, many interior glass products are used as walls indoors, creating a stylish atmosphere.

Each conference room has a different color of painted glass, and we use these rooms to entertain our customers in a way that is unique to AGC.

Magnetic area

The magnetic area is a communication area that encourages interaction between departments that don't usually have much contact with each other.

In this space, where different colored painted glass is used on each floor, many employees connect with each other and new ideas are born every day.

A world map made of glass measuring 2.7m high and 7.2m wide is installed in the 30th floor presentation room.

By placing and adhering blue and transparent granular glass on the base glass plate, a world map like a pointillist painting was created.
