Okayama Castle is also known as “U-jo” (Crow Castle) because of the jet-black exterior that covers the castle tower.
We will introduce the AGC products that protect the unique and beautiful exterior from sunlight, wind and rain.
Question1Where in Okayama Castle are AGC products used?
Okayama Castle, built in 1597 by Hideie Ukita during the late Sengoku period, had its main keep destroyed by air raids during World War II. However, it was rebuilt in 1966, restoring its original appearance.
The outer walls of the Okayama Castle tower are coated with paint made from AGC's fluoropolymer LUMIFLON™
This historic site, which recreates the old style of the Sekigahara Battle, continues to convey the spirit of the Toyotomi period, which was around 400 years ago, to future generations, together with AGC's fluorochemical technology.
Question2Where else is it used?
In addition to buildings, LUMIFLON™-based paints are used for a variety of purposes, including bridges, chimneys, airplanes, and wind turbines.
LUMIFLON™can be used to create a range of finishes, from matte to high gloss, and a variety of colors, and it helps to preserve the beauty of architectural structures for long periods of time.
