AGC Selected for “Innovation Momentum 2024: The Global Top 100” Reported by LexisNexis

-Selected for Second Consecutive Year Following 2023-

AGC (AGC Inc., Headquarters: Tokyo; President: Yoshinori Hirai), a world-leading manufacturer of glass, chemicals, and high-tech materials, has been selected as one of the "100 Innovative Companies Leading the Future of Science and Technology Worldwide" in the "Innovation Momentum 2024: The Global Top 100" report* released by LexisNexis (LexisNexis Intellectual Property Solutions, headquarters: U.S.), a patent search value analytics solution providing strategic insights based on patent data from around the world.. This is the second consecutive year that the company has been selected, following the last year's selection. This year, five Japanese companies were selected, one of which is AGC.

“Innovation Momentum 2024: The Global Top 100” report uses LexisNexis® PatentSight+ proprietary index to evaluate the competitiveness of companies based on the volume of their patents and the strength of momentum in patent portfolio changes over the past two years. The top 100 companies are selected from companies in various industries globally.

The AGC Group was selected based on the increase in the value of its patents in the areas of environmentally friendly refrigerants and compositions of various materials.

Under its long-term management strategy Vision 2030, the Group is accelerating its corporate transformation and maximizing its corporate value. The Group will continue to promote intellectual property activities that contribute to "ambidextrous strategy" by exploiting the core businesses and exploring the strategic businesses to increase corporate value.
