Thailand has been seriously affected by flooding over a huge area as a result of record-breaking torrential rains beginning in July, 2011 and high tides. To provide assistance for the affected areas and people victimized by the flooding, AGC (Asahi Glass Co., Ltd.) made a donation of 30,000,000 yen.

On November 8, 2011, the GM of the CSR Office visited the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo to present the donation certificate to Thai Ambassador. The Ambassador, in turn, expressed first his concern for AGC Group locations and employees in Thailand, and then his gratitude for the contribution from AGC, stating that the donation would definitely assist the provision of relief supplies to the victims and recovery efforts in the affected areas.
