AGC Group Responsible Minerals Sourcing Policy

Aiming to realize a sustainable and responsible supply chain, the AGC Group stipulates in its "AGC Group Purchasing Policy" that it will promote responsible mineral procurement. Also, the Group set long-term major opportunities and risks based on the trends in social issues, including "Creating a socially and environmental-conscious supply chain", and we are proceeding with the efforts relative to it.
Some of the mineral resources traded around the world are at high risk, with the involvement of armed forces and serious human rights violations and environmental destruction. To further strengthen the above efforts to address these issues, we, the AGC group, have established this “AGC Group Responsible Minerals Sourcing Policy”. We will take the following measures together with our business partners, so that we don’t promote human rights violations such as conflicts, child labor and forced labor, through the procurement activities.

Upon procurement of conflict minerals (tantalum, tin, tungsten, gold) and other minerals such as cobalt, etc. that could be at high risk, the AGC Group checks for the risks described in Annex II of "Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas" established by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), including human rights violations and support for armed groups related to mining, transportation and trading of the minerals as well as the risk of worst forms of child labor, in Conflict Affected and High Risk Areas (CAHRAs).
Then, with the cooperation of the relevant business partners, we perform due diligence and identify risks.
If a significant risk is found in the supply chain, we will take corrective action.
We request that stakeholders, including our business partners, understand the ideas of the AGC Group and work on responsible mineral procurement.
In addition, we will appropriately disclose information about these efforts to stakeholders including our customers.
