AGC began manufacturing automotive glass at the Toyota Plant in Toyota, Aichi in 1967. Another plant was built in nearby Taketoyo-cho in 1970, which was amalgamated with the Toyota Plant to form the Aichi Plant. Here, in the Chubu region—the heart of the Japanese automotive industry—the plant provides integrated manufacturing for the automotive industry, from flat glass to automotive safety glass, delivering the high-performance products necessary in today’s era.
