Kansai Plant (Amagasaki Factory)

In 1909, two years after the establishment of Asahi Glass (now AGC) in 1907, the Kansai Plant started operating in Amagasaki City, the core of the Hanshin Industrial Zone. It was the first factory in Japan to successfully mass-produce flat glass. Today, the plant uses cutting-edge technology to puduce highly functional glass substrated for liquid crystal displays(LCDs).
